gotta be honest constant self deprecating jokes doesnt make up for a  personality. and like you dont have to be sunshine and rainbows or never make jokes at your own expense but literally just. Not constantly going “im trash haha im garbage throw me in the dump” and not introducing yourself with that actually does help at least a bit with self esteem.

and like im not in the “making jokes about your depression is bad and anti recovery uwu” boat but frankly if your entire sense of humor is just self deprecation its kind of annoying and certainly not good for you
